Itinerary:

Day 1: Athens – Our cruise starts from Athens, one of the oldest cities in the world. Board the ship, settle into the cabin and it’s time to explore!

Day 2: Thessaloniki -Next, you will find yourselves in Thessaloniki. Following the path of Apostle Paul’s second missionary tour of Europe, you will be led past the imposing walls that guard the city’s beautiful harbour. You will enjoy the impressive architecture as well as the Biblical city of Veroia. Follow the local guide to learn how Apostle Paul was tested in his attempt to convert the noble Jews living in the area.

Day 3: Kavala – The amphitheatrically built Kavala, built on the slopes of Mount Symbol, leads you to the place where  Apostle Paul preached his first sermon in Europe. It was also here that he baptized the first Greek and European Christian convert, Lydia. Visit the open-air baptistery, the monument honouring the Saint and the ruins of the prison where he was held captive with Apostle Silas.

Day 4: Istanbul – In this bustling city, you will visit the famous Hagia Sophia, the Byzantine and imperial mosques that pierce the sky of the city with their pointed minarets, the Topkapi palace and the Blue Mosque.

Day 5: Dikili – Along the Turkish coastline, we will meet the coastal town of Dikeli, with its rich landscape, full of forests and sandy beaches. Here you will have the opportunity to visit ancient Pergamon and ancient Ephesus. The temple dedicated to the god of healing, Asclepius, is the last stop of the day.

Day 6: Kusadasi – In the seaside resort of Kusadasi, the Apostle Paul wrote the letter to the Ephesians and preached in the Great Theatre of Ephesus. The second largest city of the Roman Empire, it is also the site of one of the Seven Wonders of Antiquity, the Temple of Artemis.

Day 7: Patmos* – The tranquil island, famous as the place where John the Baptist envisioned and inspired the Apocalypse. The last Apostle was exiled to Patmos. Follow the pilgrims’ footsteps to the Monastery of St. John and the Holy Cave of the Apocalypse.

Day 8: Athens – While the cruise may be coming to an end, Athens is stretching out in front of us. Explore the alleys in the city centre, climb the Acropolis and enjoy the skyline!
