The centre of the political avant-garde, free expression of ideas, but also love! The city that will impress you! A unique program to enjoy the “City of Light”, experience French culture, feel the aura that this magical city exudes and see the famous Waterloo, where Napoleon suffered his greatest defeat. Our guides, Sophia and George, permanent residents of the city, are the best people to introduce you to the city that has been the setting for great cinematic and non-movie romances, that has been sung about and loved more than any city in the world, to become a symbol and a legend.

Schedule:

Day 1: Flight to Paris – Getting to know the city

Meeting at the airport, check-in and direct flight to the City of Light, Paris, where after collecting our luggage we will meet the tour leader, who is a permanent resident of Paris and a complete connoisseur of the city’s history and culture. On our way to the city centre for our first introduction to its finest sights, we will start to feel the French aura. Then transfer and check-in at our hotel. In the evening free time for a walk around the French capital, where we suggest you visit the Champs Elysees, which are magically illuminated.

Day 2: City tour – Arc de Triomphe – Louvre Museum

Breakfast and we start our tour, where we will make our first stop in Trocadero, where we will have the opportunity to photograph the absolute star of the city, the Eiffel Tower, the most recognizable monument in the world. We continue with the largest arc in the world, the Arc de Triomphe, the famous Avenue of the Champs Elysees, but also the Avenue of Pride for the French Republic, the Grand Palais and the Petit Palais, art exhibition halls, followed by the most impressive bridge of Alexander III, the imposing Palais des Apomaches, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the French Parliament (National Assembly). We continue with the Place de la Concorde, the old Royal Garden, now known as the Kerameikos Garden, the Orsay Museum, the prestigious Place Vendome and the famous Ritz Hotel, the impressive Opera Garnier and the Pont Neuf, the oldest bridge in the city. We will cross the Isle of Cité, the historic centre, since that is where the city was born, to get closer to – the most famous cathedral in the world, Notre Dame de Paris, which we will see from the outside due to the extensive damage to its roof. Moving on, we will see the neighbourhood of Cartier-Latin, the historic Sorbonne University and the Luxembourg Gardens – an oasis of mental and physical exhilaration with its awesome fountains and statues, as well as the eponymous palace of Marie de Medici. Next is the Pantheon, the necropolis of important figures of the country, such as Victor Hugo, the artistic district of Saint Germain with the famous cafés les Deux magots and café de Flor, the square of Saint Sulpice and the School of Fine Arts. Free time and then full of images we will visit the world’s most famous museum, the Louvre. It is no coincidence that they call it “The World Temple of Art”. With our official Greek-speaking guide we will wander the magical spaces of this old palace and admire its treasures. We will follow her on a journey of exploration, a journey through time and human creation. Of course, a major stop on this visit will be the Greek wing , a pillar of the museum, with the two Greek stars, Nike of Samothrace and Aphrodite of Milos, as well as the part of the Parthenon frieze with the Labyrinths and the fronts from the sanctuary of ancient Olympia. We continue in the adjacent wing with the Mona Lisa, and other works of art that are milestones in the development of the Italian Renaissance. We will also dwell on the masterpieces of French painting by 18th and 19th century painters that “light up” the museum’s large galleries. Finally, return to our hotel. In the late afternoon join us for our first introduction to the city by optionally joining us on the evening cruise on the Seine with the famous boats for a taste of illuminated Paris at night, as well as visiting the picturesque hill of Montmartre with its unique Sacre Coeur and outdoor painters.

Day 3: Excursion to Disney

Breakfast and today is dedicated to the world of Disney dreams. With the guidance of our leader we suggest you go to the theme park – dream. The park is divided into 4 “countries”, each hosting different fantasy games. Let yourself be fascinated by the colours, the joyful music, the spectacular shows, the majestic parades of all the Disney heroes. We suggest you to live in the Far West era with its riverboats and canyons, to wander on Indiana Jones’ roller coaster, to visit Pirate Island with its hidden treasures and fabulous bazaars. Dine in person at one of the 29 restaurants and visit the magical world of Sleeping Beauty, Pinocchio and Peter Pan, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Travel in the VISIONARIUM with Jules Verne and risk a journey between meteorites and spaceships on the STAR TOUR. Late afternoon return to our hotel. to our hotel. In the evening we suggest a walk in the famous Elysian Fields. Walk along the most famous avenue in the world and take pictures at the Arc de Triomphe!

Day 4: Excursion to Versailles – Walk in the Gardens – Perfume Museum

Breakfast and departure for one of the largest and most luxurious palaces in the world. From 1682 to 1789 Versailles was the capital of France. Today it is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. On our tour, we will hear in detail the journey of King Louis the Sun King and learn the story of the creation of an entire city from scratch. Those who wish can visit the Palace, and the vast and uniquely designed Gardens are certainly worth a visit. Return to Paris and transfer to the Perfume Museum, where we will “travel” on a fragrant journey. This completely free museum in Paris offers a magical glimpse into the olfactory arts through an eclectic collection of objects and instruments related to the composition, manufacture and packaging of perfumes – many of which are displayed in old-style glass cabinets. The collection traces the art of scent from antiquity to the early 20th century, with a particular focus on French traditions. Finally, free time at leisure and return to the hotel in person. In the evening, we suggest you have an aperol at the famous Café De La Paix and feel the aura of this legendary place.

Day 5: Excursion to Normandy or Walk in Marais

Breakfast and today we suggest a wonderful excursion to the wonderful Normandy. Our first stop is fairytale Deauville, known as the “Monaco of the North”, an old aristocratic resort where exquisite houses are preserved. Walk through the picturesque streets of the town and visit the covered market of Deauville, where one can find local products. Finally, we recommend taking a photo on the town’s famous beach where many French and international films have been filmed. Then board the bus and crossing its twin city, Trouville, a favorite city of the impressionists, we will take the Cote Fleurie, through a green route and arrive at the old Viking fishing village of Honfleur, a historic area, amphitheatrically built around the harbor, the starting point of all the great navigators of France. Free time for shopping, eating and coffee. Alternatively, we suggest a stroll through the picturesque Marais, also known as “Old Paris”, an aristocratic district of Paris that still retains its classic, medieval style and seamlessly combines the charm and romance of the past with modern Paris. With its pre-revolutionary architecture and shops along the sidewalks, this area is truly a wonderful sight and a great place to stroll.

Day 6: Paris – Excursion to Waterloo – Return flight

Breakfast, and today we have prepared a surprise for you! We will depart early in the morning for the historic Waterloo, where emperor Napoleon suffered his heaviest defeat, losing everything, including his fame and power. We’ll see the battlefield, photograph the impressive hill with the lion statue at the top, and finish by transferring to the airport for our flight home. Arrival in our city with the best impressions.

Note: The departure on 27/12 is run in reverse, without skipping a beat.
