Day 1: THESSALONIKI – METSOVO – PARGA

We depart early in the morning. Following the Egnatia highway towards the Ionian Sea and making the necessary stops, we arrive in the picturesque Metsovo where we will visit the Museum of Folk Art. There we will get a taste of the Mtsovian culture of a bygone era and see many objects of great value. We will also see the Evangelos Averoff Gallery with works by Greek painters of the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as a collection of sculptures, many of which are works by Gyzi, Lytras, Volanakis and other artists. We have lunch in the area of Metsovo and then depart to where our eye meets a picturesque little town, built amphitheatrically around a bay, with sandy beaches, islets and densely wooded hills. We are in Parga, with its Venetian castle and the church of St. Apostles with its many relics, the most popular place on the Ionian coast. After settling in at the hotel, our time is free to walk its streets and wander around.

Day 2: PARGA – VENETIAN CASTLE – ACHERON SPRINGS

After having breakfast at the hotel, we depart to visit the Venetian Castle of Parga. The castle of Parga is located on a fortified hill-cape that dominates the entrance to the port of Parga and the adjacent huge beach of Valtos. Inside the castle, apart from the paved entrance and an imposing iron gate, you can see among other houses and outposts, as well as old cannons. We admire the magnificent view of the area and then depart for the Acheron springs. There we will see nature in its splendour. Crystal clear waters and vast forests at the famous Gates of Hades. We arrive at the Necromancy which was a place of worship of the gods of the underworld. We descend to Glyki to drink coffee and eat at the taverns on the river bank. Back to Parga where we will have free time and return to the hotel for overnight.

Day 3: LEFKADA

Breakfast at our hotel and departure for Lefkada with its picturesque villages, dense vegetation and impressive bays with turquoise waters. Beautiful alleys, small squares, traditional houses, ornate bell towers and cobbled pedestrian streets make up the character of the town. We will admire the view from the monastery of Panagia Faneromeni and Agios Nikitas and we will also see the Venetian castle. Free time to tour the city and return to Parga and our hotel for the night.
