Programme:

Day 1: Direct flight to Barcelona – Getting to know the city – Monjuic Hill.

Meet at the airport, check in and take a direct flight to the Catalan capital, Barcelona. Arrival and after collecting the luggage we will meet the tour leader, who is a permanent resident of the city and an absolute connoisseur of the history and culture of the region. On our way to the city centre and with our first introduction to its most beautiful sights, we will start to feel the Catalan aura. We will climb the hill of Monjuic, passing by the Plaza de España with the Palau Nacional and the Barcelona International Fair. On the hill of Monjuic we see the Olympic facilities with the Olympic stadium , the swimming pool the Palau Sant Jordi and the Olympic shooting range. Then coming down the hill we pass the statue of Christopher Columbus and head to Barceloneta and the Olympic village. Free time and then transfer and check in to our hotel. For the evening we suggest you visit one of the dozens of tapas bars serving all kinds of snacks along with beer or wine.

Day 2: Barcelona – City Tour – Sagrada Familia.

After a good breakfast at the hotel, we will start today’s tour from the most famous monument of the city, the Sagrada Familia. The magnificent creation of Antonio Gaudí, which will finish its construction in 2026. We will have a full tour of the exterior of the church and learn about all the symbolism and messages Antonio Gaudí gives us with his hundreds of statues and sculptures. This masterpiece is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and in November 2010 it was consecrated and consecrated by Pope Benedict XVI so that the Divine Liturgy can be celebrated there. We will then pass by Antonio Gaudí’s famous creations Casa Mila, (Pedrera) and Casa Batllo, which is the work in which the author showed his total creative freedom. It is inspired by the Mediterranean Sea. After passing through Catalonia Square we will go to Christopher Columbus Avenue. There we will get off the bus to walk around the old town and the Gothic Quarter. We will pass by the famous Ramblas pedestrian street and Reial Square and head to the town hall and the Cathedral of Saint Eulalia. Then free time to wander around the city centre in the area of the cosmopolitan Rablas street, enjoy the unique city in your own way and return to the hotel on your own, at any time you wish.

Day 3: Barcelona – Barceloneta Museum – Aquarium – Shopping.

Breakfast at the hotel and today we recommend you to visit the famous Barcelona team museum, one of the most historic teams in Europe. Visiting the interiors is a fascinating experience for football fans and non-football fans alike. Furthermore, don’t miss a visit to the largest aquarium in Europe and second largest in the world! It has the reputation of being a wonderful marine park, which is why over 15 million people have already visited it! It has 35 tanks, 450 different species of fish and sea plants, cute penguins, and an 80-metre-long tunnel where sharks stroll over the heads of visitors. But if you are not content with just watching them and consider yourself adventurous enough, you can get a little closer to these fascinating animals! We put on special suits and bottles and take a dip in the aquarium, with fish and sharks swimming at arm’s length from us! In conclusion, you can’t travel without shopping, so we suggest you visit one of the many shops in town.

Day 4: Barcelona – Figueres – Dali Museum.

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the city of Figueras, the birthplace of the famous surrealist painter Salvador Dali. We will have the opportunity to tour his famous museum and enjoy the paintings of the famous painter. The museum is a creation of the artist himself, who worked for 15 years on its study and creation. It is built on the site where the city’s theatre once stood, which was destroyed during the Spanish Civil War and inaugurated in 1974 to become the largest surrealist work in the world. The artist chose this particular spot, as it was there that he had presented his first painting exhibition. The building is already impressive from the outside, with the red wall with eggs on top of it, foreshadowing what the visitor will see inside. Finally, we will continue on to the town of Besalu, a medieval village with its famous Romanesque bridge over the Fluvia River. Return to our hotel. In the evening we recommend you to walk in the famous Barcelonetta, where most of the beach road is pedestrianized. The palm trees, the beach make up a beautiful atmosphere. Day 5: Barcelona – Free time – Return flight.

Breakfast at the hotel, free time for shopping or to visit the city’s most famous street, Las Ramblas, one last time. La Rambla, don’t forget, has a charm that attracts 78 million visitors a year. You can take pictures of the facades of its buildings which are strikingly beautiful. Then transfer to the airport to take the flight back. Arrival in the afternoon in Thessaloniki with the best impressions.
