Day 1, Sunday: Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy – Boarding the ship, settling in the cabin and time for exploration! Foyer, lounges & bars, restaurants, spa, sports facilities, disco, playground, swimming pools, live music and performance venues…

Day 2, Monday: Palermo, Italy – The port of Palermo, a buzzing destination, is the regional capital of the island of Sicily. This cosmopolitan city is known for its heavenly architecture, serious street food, and outrageously beautiful beaches. MSC Cruises excursions offer plenty of exciting things to see including: Palermo and the Palatine Chapel, Archaeological Site of Segesta and the Town of Erice, Cefalù. An excursion to Palermo will have you marvelling at the city’s wealth of landmarks. See Politeama and Quattro Canti squares, the Palazzo d’Orléans and the remarkable Palatine Chapel. Next, see the Norman Palace and Casa Professa, a breathtaking Baroque church. Finally, wander the Capo, the most frenzied of fish markets, before glimpsing he exterior of the Teatro Massimo opera house.

Day 3, Tuesday: At Sea – Enjoy fun new experiences around the clock on an MSC Cruises’ ship, from enriching indoor and outdoor activities during the day to magical night-time entertainment. With cinemas, tournaments and competitions, outdoor activities that are fun for the whole family and magical night-time entertainment, you’ll have a hard time choosing between all the things you can see and experience.

Day 4, Wednesday: Ibiza, Baleari Is. – Though primarily known for its party scene, Ibiza, aims to impress with its fortified old town, rich archaeological sites, and brilliant array of beaches. Sail a few miles south, and another incredible Balearic jewel emerges from the sea: the island of Formentera. MSC Cruises excursions offer plenty of exciting things to see including: Ibiza’s Island, Formentera Island and Beach, Catamaran Tour. Ibiza, the island of entertainment, overflows with activities, sights, and seductively sandy beaches. you’ll visit some of the islands most beautiful hotspots including the salt flats ‘Las Salinas’, the tranquil municipality of San José, and San Antonio, a buzzing town with a beautiful harbour.

Day 5, Thursday: Valencia, Spain – Formerly a Roman settlement, Valencia is a charismatic port city on the coast of Spain. Its marriage of modern and ancient architecture is a sight to behold – from the futuristic stylings of the City of Arts and Sciences to the 13th-centry Valencia Cathedral. Walk around its avenues and squares and soak up the city’s spellbinding energy. For restful pursuits, take in the beauty of its protected natural wonders including Albufera National Park. MSC Cruises excursions offer plenty of exciting things to see including The Iconic Ciudad de las Artes y Ciencias and the Oceanographic Museum, this extensive museum and cinema complex, celebrated for the futuristic composition of its buildings, including the Oceanographic Museum. Day 6, Friday: Marseille, France – On the spectacular coastline of the French Riviera lies Marseille. This atmospheric port city is known for its unique mix of grit and glamour, seen in its labyrinth of streets and historical architecture. Only a few miles from Marseille’s charismatic cafes and bustling Vieux Port, stunning cities are to be found. Visit Aix-en-Provence, birthplace of Cézanne, or take in the ancient beauty of Avignon. The ship’s excursions offer plenty of exciting things to see. The Unmistakable Notre-Dame de la Garde, the Neo-Byzantine basilica constructed between 1853 and 1864. See Longchamp Palace in the town centre before spending time in the old port. In Aix-en-Provence enjoy a pleasant hike to the Four Dolphins Fountain and the Mazarin Quarter, home to honey-hued mansions from the 17th-century.  If you appreciate rich medieval history and sophisticated culture, visit ancient Avignon, home to the Palais des Papes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site boasting medieval Gothic architecture.

Day 7, Saturday: Genoa, Italy – Gateway to the Italian Riviera, the Port of Genoa is one of the most important (and one of the largest) in Italy, a strategic harbour since ancient times. explore its many sights, including Genoa Aquarium, designed by architect Renzo Piano. Admire one of Italy’s most beautiful stretches of coastline or an excursion to the UNESCO-listed Cinque Terre. Its five fishing villages, perched on steep cliffs, offer superb sea views, small seafood restaurants, and a tableau of townhouses. A short trip away from Genoa, Portofino beckons with colourful facades, boutiques and surrounding lush hills.

Day 8, Sunday: Rome (Civitavecchia) – Return and disembarkation, The Eternal City waits for you to discover its architectural sights, masterpieces of art and excellent food, should your programme allows. Return to Greece.
